After shooting weddings for many years, Philippe and I know how vital it is for you and your photographers to see eye to eye. After all, you will spend most of your day being shadowed by their cameras, as you go about your celebration. You have spent precious time planning for your wedding and now you have to trust that your photographers will be there to create a wonderful record of this once-in-a-lifetime event. The images captured from your day will literally shape how you remember the event in years to come. They will be a reflection of all the decisions that went into making it happen; the loved ones you invited, the location you handpicked for your celebration, the little details that mean so much to you both. Above all, your wedding images will create a collection of moments that will bring you back to your day for the rest of your life. For these reasons, we encourage you to choose a creative team whose images move you in some way and with whom you connect during the booking process. To help you with your research, below you will find answers to frequent questions that Philippe and I get asked all of the time.
What is your style of photography?
Our style of wedding photography will always be a visual reflection of you. Some weddings are extravagant, vibrant and full of colour with amazing backdrops and breath-taking locations. Some are rustic get togethers, with very few guests, where what stands out above all else are the couple and their closest family members. Whatever your type of wedding, we seek to simply capture what’s already there and create visual memories for you that are both authentic and timeless. Throughout the day we will be looking for beautiful light and the best angles and compositions to frame the people, places and moments that will tell your unique story. Shooting events as they unfold and being as unobtrusive as possible comes naturally to us, though we are equally comfortable stepping in and providing you with creative ideas during those times of the day that lend themselves to this, such as during the couples’ creative portrait time.
Do you have a second shooter?
We don’t really need a second shooter, as Philippe and myself shoot every wedding in tandem. You benefit because your wedding will be covered by two experienced primary photographers who have shot dozens of weddings together and know, at a glance how to best complement each other’s images just by being aware of what lens and camera combination each are holding. If Philippe is using a wider lens to capture time and place, for instance, I’ll be sure to use a longer lens and frame the details of that location. And vice-versa. When placed together, those images will tell a more complete story which will augment your wedding coverage.
Do you include wedding images with all of your collections or must I purchase those separately?
Your wedding images are included in all of our collections. You will received a link to an online gallery from which you will be able to view, share and download your images.
How many images will we receive?
The number of images that your can expect to receive from your wedding depends on many things, such as the number of guests and size and duration of your event. You can expect to receive an absolute minimum of 600 images for a one-day event, but this number can be higher when you book multi-day events. This does not mean we only take 600 images, but it does mean that images that do not live up to the required standards, will not be included. An example of an image that would not meet the standards is one where somebody’s eyes are closed, one of our flashes has misfired or a person walked in front of the lens just as we were shooting. Images such as those will be discarded and you will receive all of the rest.
Do you edit all of the images?
Absolutely! All of your images are individually and carefully edited in-house to achieve their final look. This includes the images for your online slideshow, your album – should you choose to have one – and your online gallery.
How long will it take for us to receive our images?
Your images will be ready within eight weeks of your wedding date.
What is your album design style?
We believe that images, not design, should be the centrepiece of your album. As such, your album design, will be simple, elegant and uncluttered. This will ensure that the story of your day can withstand the test of time and look beautiful not only now, but twenty years from now.
How does the album design process work?
The entire album design process can be conveniently completed online. Once you have chosen your album size, we will proceed to design the album spreads and present you with a draft of your album design. Although we take time and care to produce an album for you that tells the story of your day, you may decide when looking at a particular spread, that you would like to swop an image for another that you feel more in tune with. Using your image gallery and your album draft, you can then decide if you need to swap any images. Once you send us your changes, we will produce an additional draft and present it to you for approval. Upon approval the album is sent off for printing. We can then book an album viewing session or send the album to you instead if you are abroad.
How much should we expect to invest?
Our collections start at €2600 for full day coverage. To check availability and request further information, please fill in our contact form.
